• Eat whole grain breads and cereals, anything from pancake mix, waffle mix and muffins, you can still enjoy having a muffin and at least you are cutting down in empty calories and consuming extra fiber and less sugar.
• When choosing the right "whole wheat" product, make sure that the first ingredient in the nutrition label, the first ingredient is "whole wheat flour", this assures you that you'll get the full benefits from eating whole grains.
• When is comes to craving chocolate, eat "CocoaVia" chocolate bars. "Each 100-calorie bar is guaranteed to contain 100mg flavonoids"..it's also been "beefed up with phytosterols that have been shown to help reduce cholesterol".
Why are the meals and wraps gender specific?
Most planned meals come in one size. One size fits all. I think it should be different. We all know that men and women are different, not just on the surface but underneath as well. Our nutritional needs are different, our metabolism is different, and our caloric needs are also different. Women for example need more folic acid than men. If you were to compare a 35 year old man and woman that are both 5’8” tall, with moderate activity levels, the man normally out weights the woman by about 30 to 40 lbs, and he needs about 500 calories more than her to maintain his body weight. So if you are a 35 year old woman and you watch what you eat, and work out every day and you still struggle to maintain your weight, maybe you need to ask yourself if your meals are gender specific.
